Sculptra

Modern practices of facial rejuvenation are based on 2 main principles:

  • restoring facial volume
  • skin contracture

These methods are minimally- or even non-invasive, so the patient can have a face lift during a lunch break. Every new technique we are using is based on already verified structures and concepts.

Sculptra Sculptra is a synthetic polymer that is part of alpha-hydroxi acids; it is biocompatible (not rejected by the human body) and biodegradable (it is completely metabolized and eliminated by the human body). The basic substance (poly-L-lactic acid) does not have a toxic effect, is physically and chemically stable and it has been used for over 30 years especially in suture materials which are absorbed by the body.

This substance determine in a controlled way the formation of a new net of collagen which sustains the cheek and the cheek bone, and it fills wrinkles.. Sculptra manages to restore facial volume and skin contracture - very important factors in the rejuvenation process.

"Sculptra is a product which restores the contour of the face affected by age. The lost volume is replaced by one's own tissue which develops step by step after injecting Sculptra" - Dr. Mihaela Leventer, President of Romanian Society of Aesthetic Medicine and Cosmetic and Surgery Dermatology.

"Sculptra - a valuable medical tool restoring facial harmony and volume, helps to gain more beauty and keep a young face for a longer time without using a scalpel" - dr. Dana Jianu, Vice President of the Romanian Society of Aesthetic Surgery.

The treatment includes 2-3 monthly sessions of 10-15 minutes each. The effect lasts for 25 months. Among the possible adverse effects are discomfort, redness, bleeding at the point of injection, small invisible nodules when the substance is in high concentration, which disappear in a few days. After a few days, the inflammation disappears, wrinkles are filled and skin contraction takes place; the resulted collagen is naturally generated collagen.
